This heavy-duty coupler lock obstructs access to your trailer coupler to prevent would-be thieves from hitching your trailer to their tow vehicle and driving off with your gear.
The lock is constructed of extruded, tempered aluminum, making it strong and durable. The lock housing features a double nickel chrome finish, and the shuttered keyhole protects the inside of the lock from the elements. Complete with a yellow powder coat finish, this high-visibility coupler lock is both sturdy and rust resistant. And the bright color provides additional theft deterrent.
To install this lock on your coupler, insert the key and rotate it to release the locking pin. Slide the lock body onto the flat lip of your trailer coupler. Push the locking pin into the hitch ball socket to engage, rotate the key back to lock the pin in place, and remove the key.

Installed on my boat trailer with 2 inch flat tongue ball
I just looked inside of the tire cover box. The hitch lock was in there. No markings, no indication that misc. Items were in the box marked as the tire cover. Good thing that I looked as it was gifts for two separate people and the boxes would not have been opened until Christmas.
I suggest a note or something be placed in the packaging box if multiple items will be placed into other boxes.

Easy to install/remove. I do wish it was there was an option made of a different material. maybe a stainless steel? I think the aluminum could be overcome with a few good blows from a hand sledge. Love the fact that most products have videos. Very helpful in choosing the correct product.

I was so annoyed when all the locks I tried would not fit. Finding this lip lock is fantastic. Slides on without a hitch (pun intended) and locks brilliantly with good deterrent. highly visible and relatively secure. Excellent find.
I bought two and it has been so nice not grabbing the wrong key since they are both keyed the same and I managed lose all my spare keys but one i was able to call and order two more. While speaking with the lady she was trying to look up my locks to find the key number having the one key just made it simpler. I had faith in her that she would be able to find my key info. I would suggest that you take a picture of your key number or write it down somewhere you will be able to remember to simplify your order
It was snug, maybe a little too snug... had to sort of force it on in order to get the pin up. I would still rather have snug rather than loose.
This lock doesn’t fit my Atwood style coupler even though a picture in your product reviews show it installed on a coupler that looks identical to mine. Perhaps some work with a file, grinder or dremel tool would modify it for acceptable use, but not what had planned for the money.

You mentioned that the lock was not fitting your coupler. I wanted to ask how it is not fitting. How wide is your coupler? How thick is the lip on the coupler?
The lock may be great, I’ll only know if I discover it deterred a theft. My 3 stars are about the recognition that my order took weeks longer than originally informed. A couple days after it was due, I received a message saying that the order was delayed because of product unavailability. It was already overdue, I wish I’d been updated earlier, so I could possibly find another option.
This company is great in some ways. When I ordered my first order (a trailer hitch assembly kit to be installed on my vehicle.) I received same day response from the CSR team. A month or two later when I tried, more than twice to get some answers, I never received a single call or reply.
I instead sought help from a local vendor.
But because the actual product was not the issue, I returned my business for additional purchases.
Average is all I have to report about this company. At least average is better than lousy.
The coupler lock was exactly as etrailer described and easy to use. Ordering was easy and delivery was quick.

Works great. Very easy to install and remove.
These work okay. It's also nice being able to have all of the locks keyed the same.
I purchased two, One for a 2-5/16" coupler a year earlier and this one for a 2" coupler. The larger one is still working okay, but this one failed after about 9 months. Not sure if defective or poor quality. Waiting to see how the other one holds up.

I use it on my food trailer, very easy to use. Love it no issues.
It doesn't fit. Normal galvanized trailer, no rolled lip. Tried hammering it in, looks like it should work, but can't get it on enough to engage the lock.
Had to bang it onto the trailer with hammer.
Way to tight…
1 year followup: Very pleased with this set of 5 keyed-alike locks. With 3 boats and 2 travel trailers, digging for the correct key was always a pain. Now one key unlocks them all, and with the extra keys I can keep one in my garage, one in the shop, etc. so no time spent retrieving the key from my truck. The high visibility yellow powder coat lets folks know that my stuff is protected. Also, when parking the boat trailer in camp, I can double up security by using my pin type Master adjustable stainless latch lock as well.

Totally pleased. After a year of use, all 5 are working great and my equipment is nice and secure. There may be some types of tongue that these will not fit, but overall the design is nearly 100 universal. I do have one trailer, a 1946 home built tear, and these locks wont lock onto that 75 year old socket, but I just use a pin lock on that one. No complaints whatsoever. The keyed alike feature sure saves a lot of steps too.
We do some boondocking and we're concerned about leaving our teardrop unhitched while enjoying the area. This lock, aling woth a heavy duty lock for the chains gives us some comfort. We hope this deters a thief and they move along for easier opportunities.
The trailer coupler lock fit perfectly. The product is very well machine. I like the yellow color it could possibly detour a would be thief. It’s great to know my trailer is more secure now with such a great product.
Fits great, easy to use and I feel secure that no one will be able to hook up to my trailer! Great security investment, highly recommended.

This coupler lock is meant to work with couplers that have a flat lip like part # DM14976-52. The lock recommended for your coupler is part # C66DR.
This one is a perfect fit for a 2” ball.
Plus, very quick delivery which was a bonus for upcoming trip.

Most coupler locks won't fit on our vintage camper because the ball closure sits on top. This lock is compact and does the job great. Very pleased and the price was reasonable.
